The Research is Clear…
In his study of the best performing school systems around the world, Pearson's Education Advisor, Sir Michael Barber, identified the four practices that had the biggest impact on the quality of teaching and learning, and most central to school improvement. These were:
• Building practical skills
• Using coaches to provide further support
• Selecting and developing effective instructional leaders to support ongoing development
• Enabling collaboration among leaders, teachers, and staff
Pearson has translated this research into clear, concrete actions. We have integrated these critical components of school improvement into a long-term, systematic and sustainable programme designed to deepen understanding, enhance skills and build capacity among a school’s leaders as well as teachers.
We work closely with each customer to design a solution that best meets their long term needs, achieving positive, measureable results in schools of all sizes and types – from individual institutions to global school chains.
