Our Roadshows include a number of interactive sessions, which explore innovative ways to ensure that students are future-ready, fully able to meet and overcome the challenges of tomorrow.

Kuwait

The lead speaker at our roadshows in Kuwait will be Kathryn Booth, Head of Academic Qualifications at Pearson.

Kathryn studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in evolutionary biology.  She was then able to make use of her scientific training during nine years at Pearson UK, where she headed up science qualifications and oversaw the redevelopment of all our science academic qualifications. Kathryn joined the Pearson Middle East team in April 2018 as Head of Academic Qualifications within region, based in Dubai and is a Pearson Edexcel qualification expert.

Qatar

The lead speaker at our roadshows in Qatar will be Mark Levesley, Exploring Science Author

Exploring Science author Mark Levesley has a BSC in Biochemistry and a PhD in Molecular Genetics, and trained as a Research Scientist, before moving into teaching. For the last 20 years he has written and developed science education materials, with a particular interest in the 11-16 age group.

Mark has worked for most of the major UK publishers: Pearson (including Edexcel, Heinemann & Longman), Nelson Thornes (now part of Oxford University Press), Hodder Education and HarperCollins.

He is also the series editor of a number of publications, including Exploring Science and Edexcel 9-1 GCSE Sciences, and has led a panel looking at curriculum design for Pearson.

Jordan
