Pearson’s new look…redefining learning

I am delighted to let you know that Pearson is launching a new global brand that will be rolled out here in the Middle East over the coming weeks and months.

Pearson is changing – over recent years we have transformed our focus from educational publisher to the world’s learning company, and our new look and feel reflects this transformation.

We are changing because so is education. The learning experiences of today’s learners are markedly different to those of learners just one generation ago. Education is now driven by digital innovation, making it more global and more connected than ever before, but at the same time more individualised and more effective.

Our new brand reflects the changing world of education, but some things remain the same. Pearson may have a new look, but our dream hasn’t changed. Our Always Learning mantra endures because education is the greatest tool a person can rely on for progressing their lives. Right across the Middle East, people are improving their lives through learning, whether it is school children in the UAE using iPads to learn age old mathematical concepts, or a high school graduate in Riyadh gaining a qualification that will help them succeed in work – education is the key to progress and development, on an individual and global scale.

Never before has there been such potential for education to compel good in our world. Education is increasingly recognised as the driver of economic and social progress, the key to lifting communities out of poverty and to building robust, diversified national economies. The Middle East is testament to this – a region where education has helped to transform societies in just a few short decades.

At the heart of our new brand is a new logo that embodies the power of education to change lives and communities. The new logo is a play on the little known punctuation mark, the 'interrobang'– capturing the excitement, curiosity and individuality of learning. This is a symbol of what we truly believe learning is all about.

So while our products and collateral may look a little different you can still be assured that Pearson is as committed as ever to improving lives through learning. We are looking to the future, a future where more learners are engaged in the learning process, and those learners are meeting their potential. Our new brand sets the scene for an exciting new era for Pearson and for education the world over.
